Her joy stems from helping students to reach their drumming goals and potential. Playing the drums is Karen’s passion and teaching the drums is what she loves to do. She is continually growing as a player by learning new linear patterns, independence exercises, permutations, poly-rhythms, world grooves, and the coolest show off licks. Over the years Karen has polished her craft by studying under drum masters such as Benny Greb, David Garibaldi, Mike Johnston, and Tony Dey. Karen appeared on cable and television programming weekly and received music scholarships for outstanding achievement on multiple occasions. She has performed at multiple locations across California and she was even sponsored by Coca Cola. Meet the Director of our drumming division and instructor extraordinaire… Karen!!! Karen grew up in a musical family and from the age of 10 she toured northern California with her family band playing songs from the 50’s 60’s and top 40’s. Rockstar Music Academy is fortunate to have an amazing array of premiere players ready to show you what makes them rock.

Thank you Steve for all your help and for creating such an incredible place to learn how to sing and learn how to play music. My son was facing some medical issues the last month, and they were all so helpful and graciously rescheduled my son’s sessions, both in person and on Zoom! Thank you Parker for being a great instructor. If you choose to go in person…they are up to date, and then some, on all of the state regulations including Plexiglas guards and social distancing in the studios. During this COVID craziness, they are offering both in person and/or online. They are all very good at what they do and they have fun doing it.
All of the staff are always friendly and helpful. They offer lessons for many different instruments and vocals. Now, he loves it again! They have such an awesome setup and a lot of fun things for the kids too…very fun and incredible ambiance.
